Stone Coop Farm is a working farm, so we will need to be considerate to the workers, the fields, and the equipment while we are there. Our barn classroom is the upper level of the barn and the pavilion classroom is a covered outdoor space, so if it is hot/cold outside the classrooms will be hot/cold as well. Teachers do plan to spend part of class time outside in our garden or in the surrounding woods and meadows, so please dress for the weather.
The driveway and parking areas are unpaved, if it is wet outside it will be muddy. The surrounding meadows and woods are wilderness and there is poison ivy and brambles. We recommend dressing in layers and wearing boots.
Parents are required to stay on the farm or designate another adult to take responsibility for their kid(s) if they will not be there. Parents are welcome to take classes with their kids, please register and sign up as a student so teachers have proper supplies and class counts.
